Dr Andrew Lau, DDS

Dr Lau grew up in the suburbs of Minneapolis, Minnesota with his parents, older sister, and beloved labradoodle, Max. He received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and worked for a biomedical company. During this time, he simultaneously conducted pivotal research at the Minnesota Dental Research Center for Biomaterials and Biomechanics to investigate the polymerization shrinkage of dental resin composites. As he recognized his passion in dentistry, he returned to school to attend the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry and received his DDS in 2018.

Following graduation, Dr Lau moved to Seattle, Washington to complete a General Practice Residency (GPR) at the University of Washington. This one-year program involved advanced training in hospital dentistry where he obtained experience in treating medically complex patients, children, and patients with severe dental anxiety. Dr Lau is currently part of both the American Dental Association and Massachusetts Dental Society.

As a recent resident of Massachusetts, Dr Lau and his wife traded exploring the Pacific Northwest to now experiencing the charms of New England. Outside of dentistry, Dr Lau is a big outdoors enthusiast and enjoys running, hiking, and road biking as well as cooking different cuisines and trying out new restaurants. He also particularly enjoys watching his baby girl grow each day who joined their family just in time for the holiday season in 2024!
